In many cases, the treatment of severe skeletal cl III in adults include orthognathic surgery and orthodontic treatment .All treatment possibilities,including those that are ideal and those that are a compromise, should be considered and explained to the patient,and according to priorities and constraints of treatmet options , he or she can choose the most acceptable one.
The aim of this study is presentation of two nonsurgical orthodontic treatment for patients with severe skeletal cl III and reverse overjet ,crowding, post crossbite, severe openbite and also patients were reluctant to accept orthognathic surgery. Among the non-surgical treatment modalities,nonextraction treatment using self-ligate brackets and TADs were selected and at the end of treatment, normal occlusion and patient satisfaction was obtained.
These are not routine treatment modalities ,so limitation of dental compensations in severe skeletal cl III,mechanotherapy,short term stability and pros and cons of this type of treatment options are discussed as well as clinical effectiveness of self-ligate brackets
